August 1, 2014 Modus Health wades into the wearable device market

There is plenty of competition in the wearable health-monitoring device business, including Under Armour, which is exploring a next-generation product with Samsung. But competition from a Goliath like Under Armour is not deterring Georgetown startup Modus Health. The company, spun off from prosthetic device maker Orthocare last month, is seeking up to $3 million in a round of funding to promote its wearable device the StepWatch, The Washington Post reported.
