About our Clinical Trial solutions:

The Clinical Trial Research system (CR) is used for clinical trials that can benefit from real-time data gathering. The CR Site app is used by trained staff to setup the StepWatch. The CR Companion app goes on mobile devices for remote uploads of data at the participant’s home. Our cloud performs battery and compliance checks on the nightly uploads. If there is a low battery or non-compliance, an email warning goes to the site coordinator of that participant. The CR system allows for more real-time data gathering, customizable setup flows, customizable data formats, and a dashboard for data review and download. We offer training, program management, and data cleaning services with the CR system.

About our Clinical Care solutions:

The Clinical Care (CC) system is used by clinics and hospitals for high-intensity gait training, inpatient, and outpatient clinical care. Its purpose is to promote optimal walking in patients. The CC Clinician app displays a mobility triage report to prioritize patients that need the most mobility assistance. Email notification alerts can go to staff where walking falls below a concerning level. The therapy feature separately displays walking achieved during therapy versus the rest of the day. This software also comes with a CC Companion app that can go on the patient’s mobile device or a hospital provided mobile device. The CC Companion app shows the patient how close they are to achieving the clinician’s established mobility goals for that day and automatically uploads the data at night to keep the data current on the clinician dashboard.

About our Research solutions:

The RE app is used for academic research, pilot studies, and clinical care when there are fewer than 50 participants annually that will use the system – or if CR and CC are cost prohibitive. It offers the most flexibility in how StepWatch can be set up, but this also means it requires more practice to use correctly relative to either CC or CR system. Since this software does not use a cloud, data are downloaded to the RE app when you receive the StepWatch back from the participant. Researchers then must transfer the files from the RE iPad app to a research folder for statistical analysis.

Price is a one-time fee of $1,300 per iPad. One RE app is used with multiple StepWatches and participants as long as the study permits setting up and downloading each StepWatch in series.
